Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’ve got a whole host of cosmetic dentistry treatments to enhance your smile. We’re all about making you feel good about your smile and we believe cosmetic dentistry is key to achieving this.

Teeth whitening is one of our top treatments. It’s a game changer for brightening your smile, getting rid of stains and discoloration from things like aging, smoking, or certain foods and drinks. We use whitening methods that are not only safe but also effective to give you the best results.

We’ve also got dental veneers on offer. These are slim porcelain shells that we bond to the front of your teeth to spruce up their look. Veneers can fix a whole range of cosmetic issues, from chips and cracks to gaps and serious discoloration. They are tailor-made to fit your teeth just right, giving you a natural-looking answer to your cosmetic worries.

On top of that, we provide dental bonding. This is a process where we apply a resin that matches the color of your teeth to fix any damage or enhance their look. It’s less invasive than veneers and can be the perfect solution for minor cosmetic problems.

Last but not least, we offer Invisalign, a modern twist on traditional braces. Invisalign uses clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. This treatment is almost invisible, so you can improve your smile without the obvious metal brackets and wires that come with braces.

At Stephen Huber DDS, we’re dedicated to delivering top-notch cosmetic dentistry services to our patients in Leawood, KS, Overland Park, KS, and the nearby areas. If you want to find out more about these treatments, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’d be more than happy to talk through your options and help you pick the treatment that’s the best fit for you.

What are the different options for treating a broken tooth at Stephen Huber DDS?

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we know how stressful it can be to have a broken tooth.
That’s why we offer a variety of treatment options to our patients in Leawood, KS and Overland Park, KS, so they get the best care possible.
Depending on how bad the break is, we’ll recommend different treatments. For small breaks, we might just polish the tooth to smooth any rough spots.
If the break is more serious, we might suggest a dental filling or bonding. For this, we use a resin that matches the color of your teeth to fix the tooth and get it back to its normal shape.

If a big piece of the tooth has broken off or if there’s a lot of decay, we might need to do a crown or a cap.
This means we cover the rest of the tooth with a cap that’s made just for you, and it matches the color of your other teeth, so it looks natural.
If the break is really bad and it’s damaged the tooth’s nerve, we might have to do a root canal.
This means we take out the damaged nerve and then seal the tooth with a crown to stop any more damage.
And if the tooth is so broken that we can’t fix it, we might have to take it out.
Then we’d talk with you about options for replacing the tooth, like implants or bridges.

At Stephen Huber DDS, our goal is to make sure all our patients get the best dental care.
We take the time to talk about all the treatment options with our patients, so they know what’s going on and feel comfortable with their treatment plan.
If you’ve got a broken tooth and need treatment, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to help.

Getting a broken tooth fixed at Stephen Huber DDS can really improve your life in many ways. As a dental office that specializes in General Dentistry, we know how much a broken tooth can bother you.

First off, a broken tooth can cause pain and sensitivity, which can make it hard for you to eat or drink without feeling uncomfortable. By fixing the broken tooth, we can get rid of this pain and sensitivity, so you can enjoy your food and drinks without any issues.

Next, a broken tooth can mess with your speech and how you pronounce words. Our treatment can bring back the normal shape and function of your tooth, so you can speak clearly and confidently again.

What are the newest technologies you use for treating a broken tooth?
Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re all about giving you top-notch dental care using the most current technologies and methods.
When it comes to fixing a broken tooth, we use a range of cutting-edge technologies to make sure you get the best results.
We use Digital X-rays, one of the coolest technologies out there. This lets us see a detailed image of your tooth and everything around it. It’s quicker and safer than the old-school X-rays, cutting down radiation exposure by up to 90%.
We also use 3D Cone Beam CT scanning. This gives us a 3D picture of your tooth, which helps us plan and treat with precision. It’s super useful when a tooth is really broken or damaged.
In some cases, we use dental lasers. Lasers can get rid of decay, get a tooth ready for a filling, and even harden a filling once it’s in. This can often be done with less pain and discomfort than the old ways.
When it comes to actually fixing a broken tooth, we use CAD/CAM technology. That stands for Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing.
With this, we can make custom restorations, like crowns or onlays, right here in our office.
The result is a restoration that fits like a glove and matches your natural teeth color.
Lastly, we use top-quality dental materials for fillings, crowns, and other restorations. These materials are made to be strong, long-lasting, and look good.
At Stephen Huber DDS, we believe in using the best tech out there to give our patients the best care. If you’re in Leawood, Kansas or Overland Park, Kansas and you’ve got a broken tooth, don’t hesitate to give us a ring at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to help.

Dental Crowns

How Dental Crowns Can Transform Your Smile | Dr. Stephen Huber
Video Transcript

As a dentist at Stephen Huber DDS, I’m excited to share with you the amazing benefits of dental crowns and how they can improve your life.

Dental crowns are a top-notch solution we provide at our practice to fix damaged teeth and restore their function and look. They work like a protective cap, covering the whole visible part of the tooth that’s above the gum line.

First off, dental crowns can do wonders for your oral health. If you’ve got a tooth that’s been harmed by decay, a fracture, or other trauma, a crown can give it the strength and protection it needs to avoid more damage. This not only helps to keep your natural tooth intact, but it also stops decay from spreading to other teeth.

Next up, crowns can greatly improve your ability to chew and talk properly. If you’ve been having trouble in these areas because of a damaged tooth, a crown can bring back the tooth’s shape and size, making it work better. This means you can enjoy eating your favorite foods again without any pain and you can speak more clearly.

On top of that, dental crowns can also make you look better. We know that a healthy, good-looking smile can give your confidence and self-esteem a big boost. Our crowns are made to match the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth, giving you a smile that looks natural and attractive.

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we use cutting-edge technology and materials to make crowns that are strong and last a long time. We’re proud to give each of our patients personalized care and attention, making sure you get the best treatment possible.

Our practice is in a great location for people living in Leawood and Overland Park, KS. If you’re thinking about getting a dental crown or if you have any more questions, please give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to help you improve your oral health and make your life better.

Video Transcript

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re all about you, our patient. When it comes to dental crowns, we make sure that you’re at the heart of everything we do. We know that everyone is different, with their own needs, worries, and expectations. So, we tailor our approach to dental crowns to you, making sure you’re comfortable, well-informed, and part of the process every step of the way.

First off, we’ll take the time to explain everything to you. We believe that the more you know, the better you’ll feel about the procedure. We’ll talk about why you need a crown, what’s involved in the procedure, and what to expect while you’re recovering. Plus, we’ll answer any questions you have, so you can be sure you’re completely comfortable with everything.

Next, we think about your comfort and how you feel about dental procedures. We know they can be a bit scary for some people, and we want to make your experience as easy as possible. We have different sedation options to match how you feel, and our friendly team is always there to reassure you and provide support.

We also look at your overall health and lifestyle when we plan your treatment. For instance, if you’re a sporty type or grind your teeth, we might suggest a gold or porcelain crown because they’re really durable. If you’re worried about how the crown will look, we might recommend a ceramic or porcelain-fused-to-metal crown because they look more like natural teeth.

After the procedure, we’ll check in with you to make sure you’re healing nicely and you’re happy with the results. We’re always here to help with any concerns or issues that might come up afterwards.

At Stephen Huber DDS, we care about more than just your teeth. We care about you as a person, and we aim to provide dental care that suits your needs, preferences, and lifestyle. If you’re in Leawood, KS or Overland Park, KS and you’re thinking about getting a dental crown, give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’d love to tell you more about how we put our patients first in everything we do.

Advanced Dental Crown Technology at Stephen Huber DDS
Stephen Huber DDS combines CAD/CAM and 3D imaging to deliver perfectly fitted, natural-looking crowns in a single appointment. Using digital impressions and advanced ceramic materials, we ensure faster, more precise, and stain-resistant results for our patients in Leawood and Overland Park, KS.
Video Transcript

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re all about keeping up with the latest in dental technology. This is particularly true when it comes to dental crowns for our patients in Leawood, KS and Overland Park, KS. We strive to provide treatments that are efficient, comfortable, and highly effective.

We’re excited about the latest technology we’re using – CAD/CAM, which stands for Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing. This tech lets us create custom-fit dental crowns that are precise and can be done in just one visit. That means no more multiple appointments. We take a digital impression of your teeth, which is way more comfortable than the old-school way of doing it. Then, we design your crown on a computer and mill it from a ceramic block right here in our office while you wait. It’s a real time-saver and ensures your crown fits perfectly.

We also use 3D imaging and printing technology. This gives us a detailed look at your teeth and the surrounding structures, which helps us design crowns that are an exact match for your natural teeth in terms of size, shape, and color. Plus, with 3D printing, we can make these crowns quickly, so you spend less time in the dental chair.

And let’s talk materials. We use top-quality, durable stuff like ceramic and porcelain for our crowns. These materials are not only strong and long-lasting, but they also look natural. They resist stains and mimic the way natural teeth reflect light, so your smile looks great.

These technologies offer several benefits for our patients. They make getting a crown faster, more comfortable, and more efficient. The crowns we produce are high-quality, durable, and look great. Plus, they fit precisely, which can make them more comfortable and functional.

At Stephen Huber DDS, our aim is to give our patients the best dental care possible using cutting-edge technology. If you have more questions about our crown technology or if you want to book an appointment, just give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to help.

How We Keep You Safe During Dental Crown Procedures | Stephen Huber DDS

How We Keep You Safe During Dental Crown Procedures | Stephen Huber DDS
At Stephen Huber DDS, your safety is our priority. We follow strict infection control procedures, including autoclave sterilization, EPA-approved disinfectants, and PPE protocols. Patients in Leawood and Overland Park, KS can count on us for safe, high-quality dental crown procedures and more.
Video Transcript

Absolutely, at Stephen Huber DDS, we put patient safety and cleanliness at the top of our list. We stick to strict infection control procedures to keep our patients and staff safe, especially when we’re doing procedures like dental crowns.

First off, all our dental tools are either thrown away after use or thoroughly cleaned. We use a machine called an autoclave for all the tools we don’t throw away. It kills bacteria and viruses using steam, heat, and pressure. This is the best way to clean tools and is what most people in the medical field do.

Next, we make sure all the surfaces in the room where we do the treatments are cleaned and disinfected before and after each patient. This includes the dental chair, countertops, and everything else. We use cleaning products that are registered with the EPA and made specifically for healthcare settings.

On top of this, we also have strict rules about personal hygiene. Our dental team wears personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, masks, and eye protection during all procedures. We change these items between each patient to stop any cross-contamination.

Finally, we think it’s really important to educate our patients. We take the time to explain each step of the crown procedure, including how we keep everything safe. We’re always ready to answer any questions or concerns you might have about the procedure or how we keep things clean.

At Stephen Huber DDS, we’re dedicated to giving our patients in Leawood, KS, Overland Park, KS, and the surrounding areas safe, high-quality dental care. If you have any more questions, feel free to give us a call at (913) 469-8884.

Looking for the best dental crown option? At Stephen Huber DDS, we offer ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, gold alloy, and base metal alloy crowns. Each option is tailored to restore strength, protect your tooth, and enhance your smile. Serving Leawood and Overland Park, KS with trusted dental care.
Video Transcript

At our respected general dentistry, Stephen Huber DDS, we provide a range of dental crown treatments to meet the varied needs of our patients in Leawood, KS and Overland Park, KS. Dental crowns, which are like ‘caps’ put over a tooth, help restore its shape, size, strength, and even enhance its look.

We offer four main types of dental crowns:

1. Ceramic Crowns: Made from a porcelain-based material, these are great for restoring front teeth as they blend well with your natural tooth color.

2. Porcelain-fused to Metal Crowns: These crowns provide a stronger bond than regular porcelain as they’re attached to a metal structure. Plus, they’re incredibly durable.

3. Gold Alloys Crowns: A mix of gold, copper, and other metals, these crowns form a strong bond with the tooth, don’t break, and don’t wear down the tooth itself.

4. Base Metal Alloys Crowns: Made from non-noble metals that resist corrosion well, these crowns are very strong. They also require the least amount of healthy tooth to be removed before fitting.

Selecting the right dental crown largely depends on your unique needs and situation. Things like the location of the affected tooth, the color of the teeth around it, the amount of natural tooth left, and your personal preference all factor into this decision.

As your reliable dental provider, I’m dedicated to helping you make the best decision for your oral health. During your consultation, we’ll talk about all the options, their advantages and disadvantages, and their costs. We’ll also take into account your dental health history, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.

Remember, our aim at Stephen Huber DDS isn’t just to treat, but to educate our patients about their dental health. So, feel free to ask any questions or express any concerns you might have. You can call us at (913) 469-8884 to set up a consultation or to find out more about our dental crown services.

Ultimately, the best decision is one that results in improved oral health, comfort, and a confident smile.

Today’s treatments are so natural looking, no one will know you had surgery. There’s approximately a 95% success rate for all implants. With modern advances in dentistry, some implants can be restored immediately with life like all porcelain crowns. For more details ask your dentist.

Are Dental Implants Worth It? Here’s the Honest Truth

Are Dental Implants Worth It? Here’s the Honest Truth
Are you wondering if dental implants are really worth the investment? In this video, Dr. Stephen Huber breaks down the real benefits of dental implants — from improved oral health and natural-looking results to comfort, confidence, and long-term value. Serving Leawood, Overland Park, and nearby Kansas communities
Video Transcript

As a dentist working at Stephen Huber DDS, I’m really pleased to hear that you’re thinking about getting dental implants. They’re a fantastic way to replace any teeth you might have lost and they can make a big difference to your life.

First off, dental implants can really boost your oral health. Unlike other ways to replace teeth, implants don’t mean we have to change any of your other teeth, so more of your natural teeth can stay just as they are, which is great for your oral health in the long run. Plus, implants stop any bone loss that can happen when you’ve got missing teeth, helping to keep your jawbone healthy and in shape.

Next up, dental implants can make you look and feel better. They’re made to bond with bone, so they become a permanent part of you. That means they look, feel, and work just like your natural teeth. You can smile, laugh, and talk with confidence, knowing your teeth look good.

Thirdly, implants can make you more comfortable and make eating easier. Because they’re a part of you, implants get rid of the discomfort you can get with removable dentures. They fit securely, so you can enjoy your favorite foods without any worries. They also mean you don’t have the hassle of taking out dentures, or the need for sticky adhesives to hold them in place.

And lastly, dental implants are strong and can last a long time. With the right care, they can even last a lifetime. That makes them a cost-effective, long-term way to replace teeth.

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we provide dental implant services to our patients in Leawood, KS, Overland Park, KS, and the areas around. We’re dedicated to giving you the best dental care and improving your life with our services. If you’re thinking about dental implants or you’ve got any other questions, just give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to help you get a healthy and beautiful smile.

How to Care for Your Dental Implants After Surgery

How to Care for Your Dental Implants After Surgery
Are you recovering from a Dental Implant procedure? In this video, Dr. Stephen Huber, trusted implant dentist serving Leawood and Overland Park, Kansas, shares essential post-operative care tips to help you heal comfortably and protect your long-term results.
Video Transcript

As your dentist here at Stephen Huber DDS, I’m really pleased to see you’re thinking about dental implants and looking into the care needed afterwards. Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and, if you look after them right, they can last you a lifetime.

Once you’ve had the implant procedure, there are a few things you should do to make sure your implant heals well and lasts as long as possible.

1. Managing Pain: You might feel a bit of discomfort and swelling for a few days after the procedure. You can use over-the-counter painkillers to help with this. If the pain doesn’t go away, give us a call at (913) 469-8884.

2. Keeping Your Mouth Clean: It’s really important to keep your mouth clean. Brush and floss every day, but be careful around the area where you got your implant to avoid disturbing it. We also suggest using a mouthwash to keep the area clean.

3. Eating Right: For the first few days after the procedure, try to stick to soft foods so you don’t put too much pressure on your implant. As you start to heal, you can slowly start eating harder foods again.

4. No Smoking: Smoking can slow down the healing process a lot and could even cause your implant to fail. If you smoke, it’s best to try to quit, or at least try not to smoke while you’re healing.

5. Regular Check-ups: We’ll schedule regular appointments for you to come in so we can check how you’re healing and make sure your implant is integrating well with your bone. It’s really important to come to these appointments so we can spot any potential problems early.

Just remember, everyone’s different and these are just general guidelines. We’ll give you a detailed care plan that’s made just for you.

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, our goal isn’t just to provide top-quality dental implants to the people of Leawood, KS and Overland Park, KS. We also want to make sure our patients know all about the procedures and how to look after themselves afterwards. We’re here to help you every step of the way on your dental implant journey. If you have any more questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re all about staying on top of the latest in dental tech, especially when it comes to dental implants. We reckon our patients deserve nothing but the best. That’s why we’re always investing in the newest technologies to make dental implant procedures smoother, more comfortable, and more successful.

One of the latest techs we’re using is 3D imaging and Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). This tech allows us to get a detailed and spot-on 3D image of your mouth, which helps us in planning and placing the dental implants precisely. This doesn’t just lower the risk of complications but also ensures that the implant fits just right and looks natural.

We’re also big on computer-guided implant surgery. This tech uses the data from the CBCT scan to create a surgical guide. This guide helps us place the implant with extreme precision, cutting down the chances of error and making sure we get the best possible outcome.

Another cool tech we use is PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin). PRF comes from the patient’s own blood and has growth factors that speed up healing and help the implant integrate with the bone. This tech can significantly cut down the healing time and boost the success rate of the implant procedure.

Finally, we use top-notch, sturdy materials for our implants. We use titanium implants, known for their strength and biocompatibility. This means they’re less likely to cause an allergic reaction or be rejected by the body.

At Stephen Huber DDS, we’re committed to giving our patients in and around Leawood, KS, and Overland Park, KS, the best dental care possible. If you’re thinking about dental implants, you can trust that we’ll use the latest technologies to make sure your procedure is successful and comfortable. Don’t hesitate to give us a ring at (913) 469-8884 if you have any questions or if you want to schedule a consultation.

Dr. Stephen Huber’s Ethical Approach to Dental Implants

Dr. Stephen Huber’s Ethical Approach to Dental Implants
At Stephen Huber DDS, dental implant recommendations are guided by ethics, transparency, and patient-centered care. Dr. Huber carefully assesses each patient's health, financial situation, and personal preferences before suggesting treatment. He ensures full disclosure of risks and respects every patient's autonomy. With locations in Leawood and Overland Park, his practice remains accessible and committed to honest, high-quality care.
Video Transcript

Can you explain the ethical considerations involved in recommending dental implants?”
A. As a dental expert at Stephen Huber DDS, my main goal is to provide top-notch care to my patients, and this definitely includes considering the ethics when suggesting dental implants.

First off, it’s important to know that dental implants aren’t the right fit for everyone. They need a certain amount of bone density and a strong immune system for successful healing and integration. So, it wouldn’t be right to suggest implants to patients who don’t meet these requirements. We always do a detailed check-up and evaluation before we recommend any treatment.

Next, dental implants are more expensive than other dental procedures. Even though they’re a long-term solution and can significantly enhance the quality of life, we have to think about the patient’s financial situation. It wouldn’t be right to push a patient towards a treatment they can’t afford. Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re open about costs and provide different payment plans to assist our patients.

Also, getting dental implants is a more invasive and lengthy process compared to other dental treatments. It involves surgery and a period of recovery. It’s our duty to make sure that patients are fully informed about the procedure, the risks involved, and the recovery process.

Finally, we stand by the principle of autonomy. This means that while we might suggest dental implants, the final decision is up to the patient. We make sure our patients are well-informed about all the potential treatment options, along with their advantages and disadvantages, so they can make a decision they’re comfortable with.

To sum it up, the ethical considerations when suggesting dental implants center around whether the patient is a good fit, the financial aspects, full disclosure about the procedure, and respect for the patient’s decision. At Stephen Huber DDS, we’re dedicated to maintaining these ethical standards to provide the best care for our patients in Leawood, KS, and Overland Park, KS. You can call us at (913) 469-8884 for more details or to set up a consultation.

As your dentist here at Stephen Huber DDS, I get that dental implants might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But don’t worry, if you’re not keen on implants, there are other ways to replace missing teeth.

First up, we’ve got dental bridges. A bridge is basically a fixed false tooth that’s attached to the teeth next to it. It could be a solid choice if the teeth around the gap are in good shape. Just bear in mind, we’d need to alter those teeth a bit to fit the bridge.

Next, there’s the option of a partial denture. This is a take-out device that can fill in for one or more missing teeth. It’s tailor-made to fit your mouth and blend in with your natural teeth. It’s often cheaper than implants or bridges, but some folks find it a bit less comfy or secure.

If you’ve lost most or all of your teeth, full dentures could be the way to go. These are removable devices that replace all the teeth in your top or bottom jaw. They can get you back to eating and smiling normally, but they might not feel as snug or steady as implants.

And finally, you could choose not to replace the missing tooth or teeth, especially if they’re out of sight when you smile or chat. But keep in mind, this could cause issues down the line, like your other teeth moving around, changes in your bite, or trouble chewing.

Each of these options has its pros and cons, and the best one for you depends on your unique needs, the health of your mouth, and what you personally prefer. I’d be more than happy to go over these options with you in more depth next time you’re in our office in Leawood, KS, or Overland Park, KS. Just give us a ring at (913) 469-8884 to book a chat. And remember, here at Stephen Huber DDS, our mission is to make sure all our patients have a healthy, beautiful smile they love.

Dental Implants Without the Stress: Here's How

Dental Implants Without the Stress: Here's How
Thinking about dental implants but feeling nervous? You’re not alone — and we’re here to help. At Stephen Huber DDS in Leawood, Kansas, we know that comfort matters. This video explains how make the implant process easy, stress-free, and virtually pain-free for Stephen Huber DDS patients.
Video Transcript

As a dentist at Stephen Huber DDS, I get that comfort is a big deal for our patients, especially when it comes to things like dental implants. I want you to know that your comfort is really important to us and we do everything we can to make sure you’re at ease during the implant process.

The procedure is done under local anesthesia, so you won’t feel any pain while it’s happening. We also have sedation options for those who get really nervous about dental work. This can help you feel more chill and comfortable.

Getting dental implants involves putting a titanium post into your jawbone, which acts like a root for the new tooth. That might sound a bit scary, but actually, a lot of patients say that getting an implant doesn’t feel any worse than having a tooth pulled out.

Any discomfort after the procedure is usually pretty minor and can be handled with over-the-counter pain meds. Most folks are back to their normal routine the next day. Plus, once they’ve healed, implants feel and work just like your own teeth, which makes things more comfortable in the long run.

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re all about personalized care. We’ll guide you through the whole process, answer all your questions, and make sure you’re okay with the treatment plan before we start. We’re in Leawood, KS, and we look after patients from all the nearby areas, including Overland Park, KS.

If you’ve got any other questions or worries about dental implants or any other dental work, please give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to help you get a healthy, great-looking smile in the most comfortable way we can.

Video Transcript

As a dentist at Stephen Huber DDS, I’d be happy to break down what dental implants are and how they work. Dental implants are a trusted and effective long-term solution for folks who are dealing with missing teeth, failing teeth, or ongoing dental issues. Think of them as artificial tooth roots that look a lot like screws. When we place these dental implants into your jawbone, they bond with your natural bone and provide a solid base to support one or more artificial teeth, which we call crowns.

Getting implants involves several visits over a few months. A typical journey might start with an initial consultation and examination, then we move on to the placement of the titanium implant into the jawbone. This serves as a root for the crown. Don’t worry, it’s usually a painless procedure, and we generally perform it under local anesthetic.

Once the implant is in place, the healing process can take up to 6 months. It’s crucial that the implant properly fuses with the bone and heals before we proceed to the next step. This process is known as osseointegration. After healing, we attach an abutment to the implant, which will hold the new tooth. After a brief healing period, we take an impression to create a custom-made crown that matches your existing teeth. We then attach this to the abutment, giving you a fully functioning tooth.

One of the great things about dental implants is that they don’t rely on neighboring teeth for support. They’re independent and don’t impact the structure or integrity of the teeth next to them. Plus, they’re the next best thing to natural teeth and with the right care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Here at Stephen Huber DDS, we’re proud to offer this service to our patients in Leawood, KS, and Overland Park, KS. If you’re thinking about dental implants, we’d love to chat more about it. Feel free to give us a call at (913) 469-8884.

As Dr. Stephen Huber from Stephen Huber DDS, I get that you’re worried about cleanliness and safety, especially these days. I want you to know that we don’t take these things lightly, especially when we’re dealing with treatments like fixing a broken tooth.

Our practice sticks to strict safety and hygiene rules. We go by the guidelines from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We don’t just meet these standards, we go above and beyond to make sure our patients and staff are safe and healthy.

We clean and disinfect everything in the treatment room before and after each patient comes in. This includes the dental chair, the dental light, the handles on the drawers, and the countertops. We use disinfectants that are registered with the EPA and can kill the virus that causes COVID-19, along with other harmful germs.

When we’re treating a broken tooth, we use instruments and devices that have been sterilized. If we can’t sterilize a piece of equipment, we either throw it away after using it once or we cover it with a protective barrier that we replace after each patient. Our dental team wears personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, masks, gowns, and eyewear, and we change these between patients.

We also do what we can to keep the air in our practice clean. We use air purifiers with HEPA filters in our treatment rooms and in the common areas. We’ve also put in place extra steps like limiting the number of people in the office at the same time, checking patients for signs of illness before their appointments, and keeping people spaced out.

Your safety is the most important thing to us. If you have any more questions or worries, please give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to provide safe, top-quality dental care to the people of Leawood, KS, Overland Park, KS, and the nearby areas.
