How Stephen Huber DDS Ensures a Clean and Safe Dental Experience

How Stephen Huber DDS Ensures a Clean and Safe Dental Experience

As Dr. Stephen Huber from Stephen Huber DDS, I get that you’re worried about cleanliness and safety, especially these days. I want you to know that we don’t take these things lightly, especially when we’re dealing with treatments like fixing a broken tooth.

Our practice sticks to strict safety and hygiene rules. We go by the guidelines from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We don’t just meet these standards, we go above and beyond to make sure our patients and staff are safe and healthy.

We clean and disinfect everything in the treatment room before and after each patient comes in. This includes the dental chair, the dental light, the handles on the drawers, and the countertops. We use disinfectants that are registered with the EPA and can kill the virus that causes COVID-19, along with other harmful germs.

When we’re treating a broken tooth, we use instruments and devices that have been sterilized. If we can’t sterilize a piece of equipment, we either throw it away after using it once or we cover it with a protective barrier that we replace after each patient. Our dental team wears personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, masks, gowns, and eyewear, and we change these between patients.

We also do what we can to keep the air in our practice clean. We use air purifiers with HEPA filters in our treatment rooms and in the common areas. We’ve also put in place extra steps like limiting the number of people in the office at the same time, checking patients for signs of illness before their appointments, and keeping people spaced out.

Your safety is the most important thing to us. If you have any more questions or worries, please give us a call at (913) 469-8884. We’re here to provide safe, top-quality dental care to the people of Leawood, KS, Overland Park, KS, and the nearby areas.
